Waste Sorting
Generally speaking, waste sorting means by classifying garbage based on whether these are recycled. Refuse sorting has been advocated for some years, nonetheless numerous people do not follow it. Persons do not notice that the trash is organic or inorganic, recyclable or not recyclable, when throwing rubbish, even classification dustbin can be seen everywhere.
Problems come out of garbage disposal. Landfill and incineration are the main methods. Whereas, something like Coke bottles that we discard every day, plastic bag called "white trash" or disposable plastic tableware, which is belong to polymer, is imputrescible even buried underground for 200 years. It also can make soil compaction, reduce soil fertility, and go so far as to engender soil's loss of farming ability. Incineration of garbage produce kinds of common pollutant, such as sulfur dioxide, suspended particles and oxynitride, which will bring certain harm to human body.
Refusing sorting is worth advocating for the follow reasons. First, it decreases the amount of trash over 60% by detaching substance recyclable or not degradable. Secondly, abandoned batteries contain toxic substances like mercury, cadmium, which will damage human health; waste plastic in the soil cause crop losses; accidents of animal death occur due to eating waste plastic. Therefore, waste sorting can not only reduce environmental pollution, but also protect the health of humans and animals. In addition, about 30% to 40& rubbish can be recycled in reproduction. Such turning "waste" into wealth saves many resources.
