这个的关键在于那个but上面
如果but前的那个动词是实意动词do的任何形式,也就是“做”这个意思的时候,后面的动词就不需要用不定式,也就是省略to,就像上面那句：
he did nothing last sunday but repair his bike
如果but 前的那个动词不是“do”的任何形式的话,那么后面就是一个不定式,就像上面的：
i have no choice but to stay here.
