Get ready Five ,four ,three ,two ,one ,blast off (发射)!With the last words ,five rockets fly up into the sky .
These are not real rockets taking off ,though .They are model rockets mae by students of Quanshan Middle School .Using the science knowledge they have learned in class ,the students built the rockets all by themselves .
At the opening of “ Science Month “,students from different grades of the school showed off their good work .“Science Month”(runs) from the beginning of March to the end .Besides rockets ,stuents also showed off paper houses ,cars and other machines they had made .
“Science Month ” is very popular ,because students can learn and have fun at the same time.
“I have seen the biggest plane here and the one that flies highest ,” said a student called Zhen Cheng .“ I have learned a lot about planes here .I will study hard and become a pilot when I grow up .“ he said
There will be many other interesting science activities this month .These will include making models of buildings ,cars and planes ,visiting science museum of the school and taking part in all kinds of competitions .Through Science Month ,they can learn a lot about science ..
