i don't think so.
if children are suffering nowadays,that can never be for the reason you listed here.as a matter of fact,parents are paying too much attention to their kids,they're spoiling them.it's definitely not like 20 or 30 years ago when there were more kids in a family.(at that time,parents might pay less attention to them.)
