短文为：Today I leave the house at the usual time and stand waiting for the bus ,my friend Josh arrives."Still here?"he says."Yes,"I reply.I tell him that the bus has not appeared.We look around the bus stop for a while.Then Josh says,"Come on,we can't wait here all day."We then talk about whether we ought to walk.So we do.We eventually get to school twenty minutes late.
When my teacher asks me why I am late.I reply that the bus has not arrived."Really?"he says."I will make a note of that."When he removes his pencil from his pocket he drops it and is very furious when somebody steps on it.
Later we find out that our driver had suffered a heart attack the afternoon befor and that his replacement driver dose not know the route.The bus company is very sorry.
