这句话英语应该是这样说的："To decline is to accept the other alternative." 中间不应该断开.更具体的话,要说成："To decline （this alternative） is to accept the other alternative." 这样要说就更明白了,但是,为了交谈顺畅,都会把已经知道的一些内容省略掉.
