这题答案是D,偶做的时候首先排除了A,E然后就在BCD里纠结.
我想问一下BC为什么不行?
还有and neverthless这样的and 加连词或副词的写法可不可以?然后是不是副词不可连接2句完整句子,但是可以连接这样的句型：主谓宾,副词+Ving?

B选项是并列连词 and 和副词 nevertheless 搭配不当,but 才跟 nevertheless.
C选项的句式很别扭,taking 到底是伴随 were found,还是伴随 reached,让人难以分辨.另外,them 指代不明,容易引起歧义.
and 作为并列连词,不会再接并列连词,接从属连词的倒是有,接副词的也有.
副词不可连接2个完整的句子,连词才能充当此任.
是的,“主谓宾,副词+Ving” 这个句子结构是成立的.如：
They said goodbye,hardly knowing that they were never to meet again.
