I think we got poor service in shops in China compared with the better service in shops in Japan ,Singapore ,etc.advanced countries.
At first ,the competition between shops in China is not such severe .Service-oriented shops are less than those in advanced countries .
Second ,the performance appraisal system focuses on profit rather than the service attitude .
Finally ,the service training does not keep pace with the development of shops and the rate of employees turnover .
There are surely the solutions overcoming them .
At first ,we introduce the higher-level trainers from abroad ,eg,Japan ,Singapore etc.to train the middle-level managers and supervisors .then they could train the shop-assistants sequentially.
Second ,we adjust the performance appraisal system ,especially relative to the feedback from customers
