try 是一个及物动词,其后既可接不定式也可接动词的-ing形式.
接不定式表示试图、尽力,而接-ing形式则表示试着干某事.
如：They tried to finish it in time.他们尽力按时完成任务.
They tried knocking at the door,but no one anwered.
他们敲门试了,但没人开门.
动词后加to不一定就是不定式,主看该动词的用法,如较熟的有listen to,belong to,look forward to,confess to等词组中的to都是介词to.
如：I confess to being considering starting a new project.
