so far 就是到现在为止,至今的意思.你把直接引语变为间接时,其实你就是在另一个场景再复述一遍别人所说的,但既然换了场景,时间,地点,人物就都不同了,所以不能人云亦云.
如：He said:"I have not received any reply from her so far"
他说：“我至今没收到她的回信.”
转变为间接：
He said that he had not received any reply from her by then.
他说他到那时为止还没收到回信.（可能现在已经收到了 ）
He said:"Next week I'll be gone"
他说：“下个星期我不在了”
He said that the next week he would be gone.
他说他一个星期后就不在了.（是当时的下一个星期.）
你所列出的两个例句只是指时间的.如果出现 地点、人物,一般也应该转变,如：here 变为 there,you 变为 me,等等.
