Founder Mutation
A founder of a distinct population passed down the mutation which IS found in DNA to other generation is called the founder mutation. Most founder mutations are recessive. The example of founder mutation is hereditary hemochromatosis, and ithappenS in chromosome six. Founder mutations are not very typical in the germ-line mutation. Different FAMILIES with THE same disease have different mutation. The chromosome from each parents randomly crosseS over, and the chromosome includes mutation. If a person got two copies OF affected geneS from each parents, will get THE disease. On the other hand, if the person WHO got one copy is a carrier. The affected gene may not affect the person, but may affect the person’s children. Thus, two copies may lead to die, but one copy can survivE.
