We all know that "draw attention to" is always used like this:draw sb's attention to sth,which means pointing sth out to sb.
But recently,I saw such a sentense:Fashion weeks sprang up around the globe to draw attention to the designers everywhere.
Well,what does it mean?pay attention to what?the designers?I doubt it and now i'm confused.
Who can give me an explaination?
i mean,pay attention to the fashion weeks or the designers?you know,when we say draw attention to "sth" always means that pay attention to "sth"
