In front of the gate stood there a boy,这句话语序是对的吗?
还是要改成“In front of the gate there stood a boy"?但地点词在前面不是应该倒装吗?

后面一句是对的.
本来的语序应该是：There is a boy stood in front of the gate.
这里把地点状语in front of the gate提前,因此就把动词提到boy前面了,所以是倒装没错.
吐槽一下.这里there显然不会是副词.
