较之汉语,英语更体现“形合”的特点.即谓语和非谓语都有特定具体的形式,因此较之汉语更容易识别.
非谓语动词的特征：
单个动词,to do, doing, done 为非谓语.
复合型的非谓语,以第一个词的形式为准,呈现如下：
不定式：
to do；tobe doing ；tohave done ； tohave been doing； tobe done； tohave been done
-ing分词：
doing； having done;having been doing ; being done ; having been done

-ed分词:
done

由于非谓语动词的特征较为“显眼”,因此分析句子时常可通过排除“非谓语”来确定谓语.
