In my memory had store a lot of quotes. These quotes were light that guided me through in darkness. I would always learn something that could make my life better by the quotes and the following quote “Discard time, the time he has abandoned. Discard time and time is up to him.” was the quote that had influenced me a lot.
In that night, I went to watch TV as usual. However I did not know why, the TV programs were more than usual, and each of them was the show that I love. Without noticing time had passed by, I knew I had already watched for a really long time. Normally, I should start doing my homework, but today I was addicted and could not press the remote to close the TV.
Meanwhile, an evil voice appeared in my mind: “Come on, you can always do your homework later, just relax and watch a bit more,”
Suddenly another voice interrupted:” No, not even one minute, now you are in high school and you should know how to manage you time well. You should have control yourself!”
Then the evil voice tried to lure me to listen to him by saying “it is ware that both of your parent
is gone, just watch a few more episode, no one will know what you have done!”
The other voice immediately reminds me “Guess what! It is January already, exam is coming up! Don’t wait until the last minute! If you allow yourself to watch more, is hard to stop it when get addicted and eventually you will never get your homework done!”
I started to fill dizziness by the debate that was created by my internal voice. Yet, I chose to listen to the evil voice and continued to watch TV, because I thought homework was just a piece of cake, I could finish then quickly. After watching all those amazing shows I took a glance at the clock. It was already 10:00 pm and I did not even write a word for my homework. So I tried to finish up the homework as fast as possible, I felt like I was working in an assembly line and the parts keep coming to me, it would never stop until I assemble all of them. By the time when I finished all those stupid homework, it was way pass midnight. I closed my eyes and hoped that time would slow down or even pause, but the ticking sound of the clock reminded me time was still passing as it should.The next day, I went to school with exhaustion. It was hard to focus to listen to the teacher and I almost slept during class. I literally learned nothing! Other than that “side effect”, I also did a ridiculously awful job on the homework; I got a bad grade mark. It was all due to I did not gave myself enough time to sleep which was because I decided to postpone my time for doing the homework. As I was regretting for what I had done, a quote appeared in my mind “Discard time, the time he has abandoned. Discard time and time is up to him.”
I realized I was being that person and wasting my valuable time. After this incident, I learned that time was valuable. Even you had billions of money, but you would never be able to buy off the time that you had waste. From now on, I would never allow any similar incident like this to happen ever again. That how you would learn, human being would only cherish something after that had an experience on losing it.
