I can’t explain why I love Li Yuchun.If you hear her sing,you want to dance in your seat and rock along.
We interviewed the tall and thin 21-year-old “Super Voice Girl” champion last week.
How do you get on-stage charm (舞台魅力)?
“I’ve always wanted to show my best side to everyone,” Li said.“That’s it.”
How about your boyish style (男孩风格)?
As a child,Li said she overheard her mother said that she would rather have had a son.It was only a joke,but Li took it seriously!She threw away all her skirts and began to dress like a boy.That became her style.
Li’s success didn’t come suddenly.She often performed in front of a mirror!All her practicing worked.Li sang her first concert and had her own fans when she was in middle school!
Life in the Sichuan Conservatory of Music gives Li more freedom to study music.“I meet a lot of friends who enjoy singing too,” said Li.But the music school is very strict!Her homework sometimes includes practicing 20 songs on the piano.
In the summer of 2005,Li won the first place in the “Super Voice Girl” singing contest.But even with millions of fans,Li keeps a cool head.
“Now I am standing at the same starting line as other Super Voice Girls,” she said.“I have to PK with myself in the real music world.”
Li doesn’t want to give up studying in school.She hopes to finish her senior year.She tells her readers,“New term starts.Let’s work hard together!”
