C为正确答案,我看了解析后明白C为何正确,但不明白D为何错误,“ mixed reviews ”明明可以和“ its disappointing sales ”平行啊.而且but前边的半句主语是The Great Gatsby,后半句的主语用it不是比its更好吗?更平行对称了啊?

and连接两个句子或者两个名词短语,也就是说D 可以是it had mixed reviews and it had disappointing sales 或者it had mixed reviews and disappointing sales, 这样its就是多余的了,C答案不是最好,但是没错,所以相比之下还是选C
