如果说第一个句子用on是具体到12月31日,那么第二个句子也具体到离开的那一天了.为什么第二个还用in

第一句你分析的很对,the last 即“具体某一天”,所以用on,再比如：on a rainy morning
第二句 in the morning 只是泛指 “在早晨”,并没有具体到 哪一天.句意是：我们晚上很晚才到达村庄,早晨很早又离开了.
