Abstract: The literature research, visits, questionnaires and other methods, the South of nine towns to investigate and study of public sports service. The results showed that: public sports facilities have been unable to meet the residents of multi-level, a variety of health needs; residents information consulting service satisfaction higher class; sports association and the lack of role has not been fully play organized sports activities less effective, especially social sports instructors work unsatisfactory. Recommendations based on the specific circumstances of southern Jiangsu, an appropriate increase in the construction of sports facilities, standards, quality, size and service function, so that type of sports facilities from the general has both the professional and the type of transition; strengthen the public service system sports system, and gradually increase the supply of diversified services of public sports; to strengthen the professional sports association building; gradually improve the social sports instructor training system and improving quality.
