Federalism is a political system of a government in which the power is divided between the central government and lower leveal government of the country.The key features of the federalism are:
1) there are more than one level of government,normally two or more,like in the United States,there are federal,state,city or local levels of govenment.
2) the different levels of government govern the same citizens,but each level of government has its own jurisdiction and power over matters of legislation,taxation and administration.
3) the constitution of the country has specified the jurisdiction levels and financial authority.The objectives of the federal systems are to safeguard the unity of the country and to provide the regional diversity.
