suffered from引导的独立主格,前面没有having是错的,因为这时候的suffer是不及物动词.
不及物动词没有被动语态.
比如说：
1 Having suffered from a bad leg for years, he can't walk properly,这是分词结构, 不能说成：Suffered from a bad leg for years, he can't walk properly,
2 Mary having sufffered from a bad leg for years, her mother has to take her to school in her car every day -------这是独立主格结构,不能写成： Marysufffered from a bad leg for years, her mother has to take her to school in her car every day.
