A boy who was cleaning shoes in the street said to a young man passing by,“Let me clean your boots,sir.It’ll cost you only one penny.” But the young man refused.Then the boy told him that he would do it free.The man agreed,and in no time one of his boots was shiny.The man then put the other boot on the box,but the boy refuse to clean unless he is paid two pence for his work.The man refused and went away.But the well-cleaned boot made that dirty one look so bad that he could not walk on.He returned and paid the boy two pence.Shortly the other boot shone brightly.
