cut off是由动词cut和副词off组成的短语,这类短语如果以名词作宾语,该名词可以放在中间,也可以放在后面；但如果是以代词作宾语,该代词只能放在中间.如：
put it away,put the book away, put away the book
cut it up, cut the onion up, cut up the onion
take them down, take the boxes down, take down the boxes
