刚开始准备toefl,大致看了一下作文的要求,写了一篇文章,大概还有40天的样子,提一点意见关于如何提高,
Live in a small town or live in a big city
Nowadays there is much disagreement over that living in a small town or living in a big city.Some people maintain that living in a small town is a better choice as its relaxed atmosphere and fresh air.Other people,however,argue that living in a big city is second to none,for there is more convenient transportation and relatively complete infrastructure.If I have to be forced o make a choice,I will choice the latter one.
In the first place,as I mentioned above,it is the big city’s relatively complete infrastructure that makes me choice to live in a big city.For instance,people in an old age are inclined to be ill and need more medical care.In a big city,there are much more hospitals equipped with high advanced medical devices and experienced doctors than those in the town.Therefore,it can guarantee people especially old people be able to receive properly comprehensive medical aids in time in case of being sick or emergency.In addition,for the students,living in a big city means more resources and more potential opportunity to obtain internships as there are more schools,libraries and corporations.
In the second place,with a high concentration of factories and companies,big city can’t be a better place to make a fortune for the businessman and people with dreams.One hand,they can take advantage of the convenient transportation and more available Internet to find more opportunities and work more efficiently.On the other hand,the rapid-pace lifestyle keeps them being informed of the latest market information and cutting-edge technology,which is of the great importance for them to succeed especially in a world where knowledge is accumulated by multiplying and at the same time becomes more and more specialized.
In conclusion,living in a big city not only provide us a better living condition with relatively complete infrastructure,but also give people with ambitions a big stage to pursue their dream.Hence,my choice is to living in a big city.
