Dr.Martin Luther King was a great man who worked for racial equality(种族平等）and civil rights（民权）in the United States.He was born on january 15th,1929.When he grew older,he was told that he could not play with his frends because they were white and he was black.
Young Martin was a good student in school.He finished high school at the age of 15,and in 1948,he got a degree from Morehouse College.In 1851,Martin went on to study at Boston University and got another degree in 1955.
After he finished college,Dr.King became a minister and moved to Alabama.During the 1950s,Dr.King did a lot for civil rights and racial equality.He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.On the evening of April 4th,1968,Martin Luther King was murdered in Memphic,Tennessee.To remember him ,people celebrate Martin Luther King each year on the third Monday in January.Also,August 28th,the day of Dr.King's I have a dream speech ,is called "Dream Day".
