1、在英语中的对应词为：
正弦 sine 余弦 cosine
正切 tangent 余切 cotangent
正割 secant 余割 cosecant
切线的“切”可以理解,因为直线与曲线“擦边”而过,
tangent 有三个含义：
(1)“相切”的关系：The line is tangent to a curve ……
一般数学教师的解释都是：…… touch one point only ……
(2)“切线”的名字：Find the equation of tangent line ……
(3) 直线的“斜率”The tangent of the line is ……
“割”也可以理
cord 是弦,
secant 是割线,是穿出圆、穿出曲线的直线,是出了头的“chord”
是 intersects two points on a curve.也就是 cut.
“余”也可以理
Supplementary是补角；Complementary是余角.
对直角三角形的两个锐角来说,另一个余留、剩余下来的角,可以理解.
