Following with the development of economic, travelling in the rural area becomes a new form of tourism, it is increasingly becoming a new focus on development of travelling. Rural tourism is a form that combines both agriculture and rural area based new eco-tourism, the tourism attraction is a good ecological environment in rural areas. Through participation in rural tourism's activities can help people to release stress and have some understanding of humanities and environments. Xiamen has a very rich resource of rural tourism, its development has made some achievements, but there are also many problems inside. In this paper, used SWOT analysis as a reasearch method to investigate the development of rural tourism in Xiamen, also provides a theoretical reference for development of rural tourism.
