关于devote to的用法
当中to为介词是肯定的,但牛津高阶词典中有这么一句话I could only devote two hours a day to work on this subject.人教版高中英语必修一课本UNIT 5 Pre-reading中也有这么一句A great person is someone who devotes his/her life to help others.请问怎么解释呢?

Why not take "work" here as a noun instead of a verb?
没有注意到第二句.he339502645 分析得没有错,."...devotes his/her life to help others."这种情况真得没见过,但是查遍词典,似乎“to”都是介词,后接名词或动名词.编书的人是否会发生错误,抑或是印刷错误?本人认为“to help others”应该写成 “to helping others”.静候其他达人的高见!
