look at也是“看”的意思,但表示看什么具体的东西,而且at后面要接宾语.
　　He wanted to look at the outside world.
　　read---后面往往跟 书籍,报纸,杂志这类单词---books,magazines,newspapers
　　EG.He wantsto read books now.
　　look为不及物动词,强调看的动作,表示有意识地集中去看,但并不一定能看见,多用来唤起别人的注意,其后接宾语时,一定要加at,如：
　　Look What are they doing﹖ （看,他们在干什么?）
　　The teacher told us to look at the blackboard.（老师叫我们看黑板.）
　　read本为“读,朗读”,表达“看书、看报、看信、看杂志”时,通常也用read,如：
　　Don’t read in the bed.
　　（别躺在床上看书.）
　　Li Lei is reading the letter from his parents.
