1.在肯定句中,almost和nearly可以互换,都可以修饰all,very,always等.
eg.It is almost \nearly 6'oclock.
2.用于no,nothing,nobody,none,never等否定词之前,用almost
eg.The speaker said almost nothing worth listening to.
3.almost不与not单独使用,而nearly可以.
eg.I'm not nearly ready.
4.在more than,too之前用almost,不用nearly.
eg.That's almost too much.
