这里的 为什么 要用being ill,is ill 不行吗,还有 had to 在句子里是什么成分是和stay合起来做谓语吗?

一个句子里只能有一个动词,用is ill那句子里就有两个动词了.had to是have to的过去时,是情态助动词,stay是谓语
