With transformation of the traditional university library into that of automation and digitalization,the library electronic reading-room has acquired great development.However,th problems are unclear positioning of electronic reading-room and lack of awareness of its importance.This article expatiates on the function and position of the university library electronic reading-room,in terms of requirements of student's quality education and the advantage of the university library electronic reading-room.It also lists tasks that should be undertaken if the electronic reading-room's function is allowed to bring into full play in the university student information quality education.
