Wang Qishan,the director of Capital Greening Commission and mayor of Beijing,said on a Summary,Commendation and Mobilization Meeting of Capital Greening and Beautification held on 26th that we should,on one hand,gather forces and wisdoms from all people to fulfil greening and beautification work preparing for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games,and on the other hand,arrange and do put each greening task into effect as soon as possible.
In accordance with work arrangements of Capital Greening Commission,160 greening projects for Olympic Games will be highlighted in Beijing in 2007,greening tasks in Olympic central area,Olympic forest park and National Avenue will be completed in an all-round way,greening constructions both in and within 200-meter visible surrounding areas of Olympic stadiums as well as connecting lines among them should be accelerated.Meanwhile,scheme audit,project duration coordination and quality supervision should be improved to a perfect level for constructing excellent Olympic greening projects with careful organizing and arrangement.
