The Colosseum is situated at the east bank of the Tiber River in Rome,the capital of Italy; it is an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome and acclaimed as the eighth wonder of the world.The Colossuem was built in the years between 72 and 79,it took the forced labor of eighty thousand Jewish captives eight years to complete.The whole construction occupies an area of twenty thousand square meters and with a circumference of 527 meters,it can accomodate ninety thousand spectators.After the Roman Empire had conquered Jerusalem,the Colosseum was built to commemorate the tremendous achievements of Emperor Vespasian; it has been infuencing the construction of modern large-scale stadium even till today.
