一般疑问句、选择疑问句和反意疑问句,常变成以whether引导的宾语从句,在口语中常可用if 来代替whether；注意用陈述语序：
He says,“Is Tom an Englishman?”
变为间接引语：He asks whether(或if)Tom is an Englishman.
