楼主记住一点：见到by the time.这个时间状语,后面的动词都是完成时态,
这个句子是过去的事情,“当时雨下得很大,而在下课的时候,雨已经停了.”
再举个例子：By the time I will be 30,I will have earned a fortune.（等我30岁的时候,我已经挣了一大笔钱了.）用的就是将来完成时那么也就是说"下雨"是最先的时间吗?对。但是下雨那个句子和后面的句子是个并列句。意思是本来正下着，可是下课的时候就已经停了。句子强调的是雨已经停了
