Abstract:English writing is always seen as an essential standard of reflecting and measuring a student’s capacity for synthetical linguistic performance,and in China,writing is what the students must learn from the beginning of English learning.However,most students in rural junior highs school are very weak in English,especially in English writing,so it is very important for the English teachers to find out the problems in the earliest stage and to give solutions,helping students to lay a good foundation on English writing.This thesis,giving an analysis of data on the current writing ability of rural middle schools students by investigating their personal performance,aims to present the real effect of English teaching and explain the reasons.After processing the exact data,it then will try to use effective methodologies to improve the writing skills of rural middle school students.After study for three months the author found that some of the easy but efficient methodologies can not only enhance their English writing performance but can also strengthen every aspect of English comprehensively.Besides,the students can be more confident in English writing and can throw boredom away.
