整个句子是祈使句,主句是Imagine their dismay ,when 引导的是状语从句,在整个状语从句中“they”是主语,found是谓语,宾语是a beautifully-cooked wallet and notes ；而turned to ash!
是宾语补足语.所以整个句子的主语其实是"you、we等等,是说话人交谈的对象,要根据语境来看”,谓语是imagine,宾语是their dismay.
