Actually there is no clue to follow.You just choose whatever name you like and think it sound nice,then you adopt it.Alternatively,you can just use the HANYU PINYIN of your Chinese name.If you are to following the western way,you put your family name at last.But if you want to follow the eastern English-speaking countries' style,you put your family name at the very beginning.
