MY COMPOSITION
A few days ago I watched a film named Corpse Bride, directed by a famouse director Tim Burton.Under an atomsphere of Gothic Style.the film has grown to be a full success.
It tells a story took place during the middle century. At that time, marriage was just a partnership and a little tit for tat, which could always be the main key to improving one's social position. As their passion of persuing true love faded away gradually, many young people had to give up to their fate. Our two main characters,Victor and Victoria, were no exception either.
Victor, whose parents were fish merchants, was a groovy young man.He was forced to marry Victoia in his parents' favor.According to the plan, their family would be carried elevated to the hights of society. So how about Victoria? She was a lovely girl with a plain face.In order to get through the economy crisis, her parents had made up their mind to marry off their daughter. So the two met just according to the plan.
Dramatically, they almost fell in love at the first sight, even though they had never spoken to eachother.Victoria was so happy when she found her true love finally. But the path leading to happiness couldn't be flat forever,as the wedding rehearsal was in chaos because of Victor. He was afraid of marriage originally. At that circumstance,TH he had no choice but to run away.
Then he came into a forest where he met our corpse bride Emily. She was so beautiful and attractive that I couldn't believe my eyes. What impressed me most was that she still had a tear to shed even though her heart had stopped beating. In addition, she was a kindhearted girl with a wonderful personality. When set free by Victor's perfect wedding vows ,she took the so-called husband to the underground world.Ulike what we comonly thought about it,the place where skeletons lived just look like a big house without sunshine. They had a bar and even a private band.Everyone lived in harmony with each other in it.The life there seemed to be better than upstaires in a certain case.
After hearing that Victoria would be married to Lord Barkis,Victor accepted Emily at last. But their marriege required the greatest sacrifice. That was ,Victor must be killed. They had to go upstairs to hold the wedding ceremony.
There Emily met the man once left her behind and killed her cruelly. It was Lord Barkis.Though wearing a good-looking face,he was a wicked man always made use of marriege to get interest. As the old saying puts it,the wicked will get what he deserves at last,Lord Barkis drunk poisonous wine and died.
Emily was determined to leave Victor when she saw Victoria."My dreams were taken from me,but now I've stolen them from anyone else."She just couldn't make it.Then there came the end,Victor and Victotia stayed together at last. What a touching love story!
Nowadays many of us adults hold the same view of marriage. One should marry someoe he or she is deeply in love with and to someone to spend the rest life with. But people living during the middle century didn't seem so lucky. What they can do is according to the plan.
I think nobody but Tim Burton can create the corpse bride.
I like this film very much. And don't forget our lovely corpse bride.
