be located最常见的用法就是“坐落在...”,比如the city is located in east China.
其实,这只是locate的一种用法而已.
由此可知,locate这个词首先有“把...放在某个地方；设置...”的意思,比如
they decided to locate the project in this small town.
此外,locate还有“寻找,定位”的意思,
比如they tried to locate the lost ship on the vast ocean.
总之,记住：表述事物（有时甚至是人）的所在位置时,所描述对象是不能主动去loate的,必须是be located；而在表述“放置、设置、定位”这样的动作时,动作的采取人可以直接跟locate,后面再直接跟动作的对象.
