During life time,everyone made mistakes.Some of mistakes can be corrected,some cannot.The right way to face those errors is try to rescue people or self from these mistakes.Rahim Khan did this theory perfectly,and his act caused the most important turn point in The Kite Runner.He asked Amir to go back to Afghanistan on the phone (Page 244-245),and requested Amir to save Sohrab (Page 282-283).What he was trying to do is not only saving Sohrab,but helping Amir to get out of his guilty either.Rahim Khan gave Amir a chance to redeem himself from what he did to Hassan,let Amir “to be good again” (Page 2,247).Eventually,Amir got redemption,learned to sacrifice from Rahim Khan,and got on the right way of life again.The result of The Kite Runner has shaped Rahim Khan as a teacher in life,and telling us helping people are not only from the physical aspect,but correct their mind either.
To be a real good person with high-principled sentiment need to be virtuous,fair and willing to help people to correct their mistakes just like what Rahim Khan did.From a flat character’s point,he may not be that complicated,but he was teaching all the readers the lessons of be a good person,and stay on the right path of life.
