请问这句英语的谓语应该是单数还是复数?
The phone you choose and the way you use it speaks volumes about your personality and lifestyle.
speak volumes ,意思为“有力地说明,充分地证明”,在这里是谓语吧?而前面是and连接的“The phone ”,“the way ”两个并列的主语吧,我认为应该是复数啊,为什么用speaks呢?难道是我理解错了?请求英语高手相助!
