TOPIC:Schools offer a wide range of courses ,such as physical education,music ,economics ,philosophy ,math ,English ,geography ,physics and history .Of all these subjects ,which one do think is the most important and which one is the least important?
According to teaching programs ,similarly in all nations ,a multitude of courses are taught in schools .Physical education ,music ,economics and so forth .Speaking for myself ,in terms of the importance to students ,among those subjects ,physical education ranks the NO.1 ,while economics should be ranked the last one .(53)
The following reasons will illustrate why physical education has an absolute superiority in schooling .Firstly ,physical course makes a significant difference to student’s health built .Many students ,particularly for the entrance examination ,are confronted with a stressful life .they have to spend a vast amount of time in doing homework and reviewing lessons .Doubtless ,the outdoor activities advocated in physical class are enable students to save them from sedentary life style .Further ,it helps students to become a sociable one owning to the close contact as well as their outlooks will be expanded during the course.(96)
Compared to physical education ,economics teaching in school is much less necessary .Admittedly ,we are live in a society that nothing can be isolated from economy activities .But the importance of economy not equals the importance of economics taught in school .Economy is some kind of dynamic and abstract ,a foresight of economy is needed when learning ,while ,apparently this ability cannot be obtained during schooltime .Students will lack the sense of achievements after a long time learning ,which may dampen their enthusiasm towards study .(88)
In sum .I firmly believe that schools should offer practical courses ,such as physical education ,music .Students not only improve their condition ,but gain more happiness from learning as well .Conversely ,courses like economics will frustrate students when they find the course content is much different from the real life .(51)
