Increase teacher’s salary for promotingeducation quality?
As the society increasingly improves,economics become the key bones of the development of a country.Salaryinevitably becomes a judgment to a person’s work.The more salary they earn,the higher level they are.This also happens in the school yard.However,it isa controversy that if higher salary brings better qualified education.I perceivethat not higher but appropriate salary is the promise of the qualifiededucation.
For the slender salary of good teachers,ofcourse,a rise will exert the advancement of the education quality.Highersalary is a supportive way to let skilled teachers’ focus totally on how toimprove their teaching skills.Reversely,they will find another way to raisetheir family,even illegally strive for that.For example,my aunt is a goodEnglish teacher who teaches in an easily understandable method,however,has apoor salary for 20 years.She always thought that she deserves better salarythat the school refuses to give.Since her family with five members are allliving on her slender salary,she run an illegal English cram school secretly.Finallyit is found by the school,and then she got fired.Illegal as this behavior is,it is a bad consequence of insufficient salary.How can a good teacherconcentrate on higher quality of education without a desirable salary?
However,for the teachers who already havea suitable salary equaling with their job,an increase is unnecessary.On thecontrary,a rise on their salary would offer them a cozy and comfortable conditionto own a decent job to showoff and salary to raise their family.For instance,my high school algebra teacher was already a professor with a top salary on myhigh school.However,he thought he has surpassed all the colleagues and hasn’tpublished thesis papers for 3 years.Undoubtedly,there won’t be anyimprovement in his thesis level during this time.It is also a backwards forhis individual.
In conclusion,an increased salary for apoor but good teacher will brings more qualified education,on the contrary,for a teacher who already has a content salary will not exert advantages oneducation.As old saying said:Suit is best.
