6.4.4 Rectifier/Transformer Chassis
6.4.4.1 Class AA Chassis
The rectifier components shall be mounted on a slide out,or
tilt out removable chassis.
6.4.4.2 Class OA Chassis
Class OA units shall be constructed so that the internal
components are mounted on two removable chassis; one for
the transformers and chokes,and one for the remaining
lighter components (e.g.,diode stacks,lightning arrestors,
etc.).
The chassis for the lighter components shall be independently
removable and shall be constructed with a lifting handle or
lifting lugs placed to provide balanced lifting.
The chassis for the transformer shall be constructed with at
least two lifting lugs to provide balanced lifting.
All interconnecting wires between the two chassis or between
either chassis and the tank or control enclosure shall be easily
accessible from the top of the tank.Fastening bolts
connecting the chassis and the oil tank shall be above the oil
level.
