The small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are key components of Chinese economy,which are playing an extremely important role in sustaining the healthy and sustainable development of economy.However,China's SMEs are facing a great deal of difficulties for further development,of which the financial strains have become a key bottleneck.This paper explores the cause of financial strains of China's SMEs,and brings forward some practical suggestions for a healthy development of China's SMEs,which could be helpful for them to tide over the international financial tsunami.
