Here are the main objectives that would be perused:
1.Create a new component brand with USA identity and image.
I will contribute design and direction to create the brand and a new full line of components.
For the components,I suggest starting with MTB Shimano XT level and work towards a 2003 OE model year introduction to show to customers in December of 2011
Then begin road components approximately 10 months after that.
2.Joint ownership in new company / brand ( % to be determined)
I have no available capital to put into the company at this time.
3.Begin designing product immediately.
At this early stage the company could consist of just myself.
We would need funding for development (prototyping) of all products including legal fees to secure IP (intellectual property)
The funding would also include a salary for myself and a contract for 5 years for contributing my designs and expertise in creating the brand and products.
4.Hire additional people approximately 10 months out.
When the products are at a certain point in development we will need to hire marketing personnel and a sales team
We will need a budget for advertising
We will need to hire tech support personnel
