More and more developing countries are expanding tourism industry,why is it the case?Do you regard it as positive or negative?
In today’s(contemporary）society,an increasing number of people choose to travel during their holidays,which stimulates the development of tourism industry.Especially,many developing countries are expanding tourism industry as one of their main industries.In my opinion,this phenomenon brings much more advantages not only to tourists but also to developing countries.
There are many benefits for developing countries to accelerate the development of tourism industry.Firstly,the large amount of tourists can increase governments' revenue and boost local economy.As the government gain more revenue at their disposal,they can allocate more money to support education,encourage science research and promote public welfare.Secondly,the tourism also promotes the cultural communication among different regions and countries.Foreign tourists bring their traditions to us,in the meantime,they learn more about our culture.It is an interesting exchange,isn’t it?I believe it is very important for today’s world,as we are more integrated world than ever.
However,there are some drawbacks for developing countries to expand tourism industry.First,if they excessively exploit their natural resources for developing tourism indutry,it could do great harm to the local nature.Consequently,more species will be on the verge of extension.Therefore,developing countries must be fully aware of the importance of preserving their natural resources,as they develop tourism industry.Then,the flourishing tourism can benefit the local people in a long run.
To sum up,expanding tourism industry could bring both benefits and harm.Nevertheless,with effective measures to preserve the natural resources,developing tourism is definitely the best option to boost local economy for developing countries.
