After World War II ended,new innovations were brought to theUnited States,which gave people more leisure time than ever before.At thattime,leisure was an activity people wanted to do because it didn't imply work,something they tried to avoid due to all the hard work during World War II.Leisure time flourished,largely due to technological innovations.In the early1950s,the American population was in real need of entertainment and leisuretime.This need was accompanied by some new changes to the way they entertainedthemselves.Big changes like television,movies,new music genres,and massbroadcast radio opened the doors to entertainers,who were able to useavailable media to contribute to the American culture.
